3D form & storytelling

the challenge

the solution

my role

The brief was to create a set of 3D artifacts that could stand on their own while contributing to a larger fictional narrative about an alien planet across different timelines. Each piece needed to communicate cultural, technological, and emotional context without relying on traditional storytelling. The work also had to function as part of an immersive, interactive installation using multiple digital tools.
I developed three animated 3D fragments representing distinct eras of an alien civilization, using form, motion, and atmosphere as primary storytelling tools. The pieces were presented as 3D anaglyphs and paired with custom-made ambient soundscapes to deepen immersion. When experienced together within the installation, the fragments revealed a layered narrative of rise, imbalance, and collapse across time.
I created the pieces shown, handling concept development, 3D modeling, animation, materials, and sound design. I composed ambient audio and rhythmic elements to pair with my portion of the installation and defined how the work should be experienced through headphones and anaglyph glasses.
